AQUIA, Single Origin Costa Rica (Natural)

Aquia's Story

Aquia is a single origin natural-process coffee from Aquiares Estate, one of Costa Rica’s most historic and environmentally progressive farms. Nestled between two rivers on the lush slopes of the Turrialba Volcano, Aquiares has been producing high-quality Arabica for over a century — and today, under the Robelo family’s stewardship, it stands as a global model for sustainable, community-first coffee farming.

This Obata varietal is handpicked by expert harvesters and dried in a custom-built greenhouse with a precision airflow system, allowing the cherries to retain sweetness and depth. Expect rich, jammy notes of plum, a gentle panela sugar sweetness, and a long, cocoa-toned finish.

Behind the cup is a story of social change and innovation — from reforestation projects and carbon-tracking science to homeownership programmes that have transformed life in the local community.

Roasted in London by our small team at Harvestry, Aquia is a bold yet balanced brew — a testament to what’s possible when nature, community, and craft come together.

Would you like me to now do the same for your second new coffee? Feel free to send over its origin details!
